Time To Fly…
Life has a way of directing us to where we are supposed to be, whether we think we are ready or not. I never thought that within 6 months, I would have lost my Mother, lost my job, pulled my sons out of their schools, become a homeschool mom and started my own art studio to share my passion for art education. 2020 and covid-19 seem to be having us all realign in some ways. To evaluate how we engage, how we connect and what we have to offer.
I’ve known since childhood that what I have to offer is all about art. My own love for art and the ability to communicate the power it can have in our lives. Teaching art has been the way I engage with others for as long as I can remember. In elementary school I remember drawing pictures for people to invite friendships, in high school I was president of the art club, and while it took me longer than expected to graduate from college… because life kept calling me to explore and understand inspiration…art was always the thing that pulled me back, gave me focus and helped me connect.
So…here I am again…and art is reminds me that there are so many ways to engage and connect, when we accept an invitation to creative thinking and imagination.
This will be a work in progress. I appreciate all of you that have reached out and encouraged me to get Starling Art Studios off the ground. Let’s hope this bird can fly.
